When The Sun is down and the fire is out…

In my experience, people often do not seek therapy until they are at their lowest point. In fact, many people who desparately need help, don’t seek therapy at all. As the sun sets on their circumstances, and their fire falls dim, they are left in the darkness — alone.

Reed & Ember PLLC is named for the first 3 verses of Isaiah 42. The passage speaks of God’s chosen servant who will bring justice to the nations stating: “…a bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly burning wick he will not quench...” It is with this attitude that I approach therapy; to help identify the remaining embers — your value, self-worth, your identity — and stoke the flames of change.

My aim is to carefully assess and thoroughly treat symptoms and environmental factors that are contributing to deep distress.

MY PROMISE

My life and career have been spent working with people who are hurting. Many that I have worked with have recovered and are committed to continuing their healing. The secret to helping people recover from pain is true listening. I won’t allow pain to go unheard.

In my practice, I regard everyone who seeks services with me with the utmost respect and dignity, period. Your story is important and unique. We will make your story an integral part of your recovery plan.

About Me

MY NAME IS Jerrion

I grew up in a small town in Tennessee, and I have had my fair share of uncertain circumstances. I have experienced those lowest points and I try to remember them when meeting with hurting people. My faith is a big part of my life and a big reason why I got into social work practice. I sincerely believe in the dignity and worth of every person — worth that does not diminish for any reason. I became a therapist because this seemed to be the clearest avenue to help others through their pain the way that I have been helped through mine.
